INTENTION CLARITY HANDMADE MINDFULNESS NEW YEAR CLAY YOUR WORD 2026

Why this workshop is different

Here's what makes these 2 hours different from another January goal-setting session.

Find Your Word

You don't need to arrive with your word chosen. The clay has a way of drawing it out as you work.

🏺

Make Something Meaningful

Create a small dish or token with your word carved in — a daily reminder for 2026.

👋

No Special Equipment

Just a table, some clay, and a few household items you probably already have.

🎯

Guided Every Step

Follow along live with Victor — no guesswork, no getting stuck.

What You'll Experience

This isn't a lecture. It's two hours where you actually make something meaningful — with your hands in clay and space to reflect.

"Let the clay guide you"

You won't arrive with your word already chosen. As you knead, roll, and shape, a word will surface. The clay has a way of drawing it out.

"Create something you'll see every day"

By the end, you'll have a small dish or token with your word for 2026 carved into it. Put it on your desk, your bedside table, your kitchen windowsill. Let it remind you.

"Start the year with calm"

No resolutions. No pressure. Just two hours of quiet making, guided reflection, and something beautiful to show for it.

Is this for you?

✓ This IS for you if...

  • You're tired of resolutions that don't stick
  • You want to start 2026 with intention, not pressure
  • You've never worked with clay (or haven't in years)
  • You need an excuse to step away from screens
  • You like the idea of making something meaningful with your hands

× This probably ISN'T for you if...

  • You want a fast-paced, technique-heavy class
  • You're looking for a social party vibe
  • You don't have 2 hours to slow down

Still here? Good. Let me tell you why I'm running this.

Victor, pottery instructor

Hi, I'm Victor.

I'm a neuroscientist at UCL. I spend my days studying how brains learn and remember things.

But a few years ago, I couldn't get my own brain to stop racing.

In 2013, during one of the hardest periods of my life, my therapist brought clay to our session. She was an art therapist, and that day she handed me a lump of soft clay.

The moment my hands touched it, something shifted. For the first time in months, my mind went quiet.

That single session changed everything. I studied with a local sculptor for three and a half years. Pottery became my way of finding calm — not through thinking, but through making.

I spent years figuring out what actually works — especially for people doing this at home, without a studio or kiln.

This workshop is my favourite way to start a new year. Not with pressure or goals, but with hands in clay and a single word to carry forward. I'd love for you to join me.

What you'll need

(Most of it's probably at home)

Air dry clay — about 1-2 kg
Something to cut with — any knife will do, small ones are better
A skewer, toothpick, or pencil — for carving in clay

That's it!

No kiln. No wheel. No special tools. Just your table.

Clay tip: In the UK, I recommend Scola air dry clay — about £20 on Amazon for a large bag (12.5 kg!). I'll send specific links after you register.

Never worked with clay before?

Perfect. This workshop is designed for complete beginners. I'll guide you through every step, and clay is wonderfully forgiving — if something doesn't look right, you just reshape it.
